Osaka Ekiden, 29th National Blind Relay Race (OSAKA EKIDEN in 長居 兼 第29回全国視覚障がい者駅伝)

The Normalization Race is an inclusive event where teams of visually impaired runners and general participants come together to run alongside each other on the track at Yamata Stadium Nagai in Osaka. The course winds through the stadium's perimeter as well as within the scenic grounds of Nagai Park, offering a blend of athletic challenge and natural beauty.
The race aims to foster understanding and collaboration between athletes with visual impairments and their sighted counterparts, creating an environment where everyone can experience running together on equal footing. Adding to the excitement is the expected guest appearance by Paralympic athletes who will share their inspiring stories and experiences with participants.
Entry fees for teams are set at ¥10,000 for the general category, ¥8,000 for visually impaired runners, and just ¥1,000 for those participating in the visually impaired walk event. This unique race not only promotes inclusivity but also highlights the spirit of teamwork and mutual support among all participants.
