Österreichischer Frauenlauf

The 38th ASICS Österreichischer Frauenlauf (Austrian Women's Run) will take place on Sunday, May 31, 2026, in the Prater Hauptallee in Vienna, Austria. The event is sold out, with a waitlist available. Distances include a 5 km run (start 09:00), 10 km run (start 10:25), and 5 km Nordic Walking (start 11:05). Both running courses are flat, circuit-based, and have no time limit—walking is also permitted during the race.

All participants must follow the official race rules. The bib number must be visibly attached to the chest and not altered. The course is clearly marked and supervised. Medical service is provided by Arbeiter Samariter Bund. The event is registered with the Austrian Athletic Federation and takes place in any weather. The organizer does not accept liability for personal injury or property damage.

• Included in entry fee: ASICS women's shirt (made of recycled polyester, fitted cut), original race number, starter goodie bag, warm-up session, drinks along the course and at the finish, medal, Fairtrade rose at the finish, printable finisher certificate, two-day program on the festival meadow, clothes drop-off, year-round women's run training sessions, and training plans.
• Timing chip: own ChampionChip or Pentek chip can be entered during registration; rental chip (€4.90 fee) is automatically assigned if no own chip is provided and must be returned in designated boxes at the finish area.
• Team scoring categories: individual classification per age group, female friends, families, companies, teachers, girls, elite competition (5 km), and visually impaired/deaf participants. Teams require at least 5 participants (3 for families). Team time = sum of the 5 (or 3) fastest individual times.
• Age groups for individual ranking: from W 9 (2015 and younger) through W 85 (1939 and older). Nordic Walking has no age groups; finishers are listed alphabetically.
• Virtual run option available for those unable to attend on site, using the Women's Run app or personal GPS tracker to record the distance on May 31, 2026.

Public transport recommended: U2 subway to Stadion (200 m walk), tram line 1 to Prater Hauptallee (approx. 1 km walk), or bus 77A to Pierre-de-Coubertin-Platz on May 30. Car parking near a metro station is advised due to road closures on Meiereistraße, Stadionallee, Lusthausstraße, Rustenschacherallee, Rotundenallee, and around Lusthaus on May 30–31. Hotel suggestions include Courtyard by Marriott Vienna Prater/Messe (discounted rates for participants), Motel One Prater, BASSENA Wien Messe Prater, and Superbude.
