Panorama Days 5K Run/Walk returns to Panora, Iowa on August 1st, bringing together runners and walkers from across the region for a morning of friendly competition and community spirit.

The race will start uptown on the East side of the Square. The route begins in the heart of downtown with its historic buildings and bustling streets filled with early-morning activity. Runners can expect to see local businesses opening their doors, families out walking their dogs, and neighbors greeting each other as they prepare for a day full of fun.
Since 2014, Panorama Days has been celebrated in the small town, growing from just over 50 participants to now hosting more than 300 runners. All proceeds support local scholarships and community programs, making this race not only an athletic event but also a significant contributor to the area's well-being.
The course venue offers a challenging yet enjoyable run through hard and dry surface conditions typical of August in Iowa. Participants will navigate through streets that are both familiar and new, with notable features like the picturesque downtown park where the route winds along tree-lined paths before heading back towards uptown.
On race morning, runners can expect temperatures ranging from 18.5°C to a warm but not oppressive 27.9°C, feeling much like they do at an average of 23.2°C under clear skies with about 11 hours and 20 minutes of sunshine expected. The humidity level is moderate at 73.9%, while the wind speed averages around 11.7 km/h, creating a comfortable but brisk morning run.
The race offers both a 5K Run/Walk | 5K.
Registration for this event can be done online through https://raceroster.com/events/2026/125415/panorama-days-5k-runwalk by Friday, July 31st. On race day, participants must complete registration and check-in by 7:40 AM at uptown on the East side of the Square.
Bibs can be picked up the day before or morning of the event from 8:00 AM to 9:00 AM also at uptown on the East side of the Square. Runners will need to bring their photo ID for verification and proof of insurance if they plan to run in the race.
The start line is located uptown, with a return path through the downtown park, ensuring runners enjoy scenic views while competing. The age requirement is open to all; however, participants under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Final times will be posted on the Panorama Days website (PANORACHAMBER.ORG) following the race, and first- and second-place winners in each category will receive prizes for their efforts. All runners who participate are given a thank you from our community; simply pick up your bib before the event to ensure your gratitude is acknowledged.
