Parramatta Race Series 2026 - Race 3

The Parramatta Race Series 2026 - Race 3 takes place on Sunday, November 1st in Silverwater Park, New South Wales, Australia. Organized by the local community and supported by various sponsors, this event aims to bring together runners of all levels for a memorable race experience.
Silverwater Park is nestled between the Parramatta River and the picturesque Newington Nature Reserve, offering scenic views along the course. On race morning, expect temperatures around 21 degrees Celsius with a slight breeze, providing comfortable conditions ideal for running. The atmosphere will be lively as participants enjoy the flat terrain alongside the river.
This marks the third installment of the Parramatta Race Series, which has been running since its inception in 2024. Over 500 runners participated last year alone, making it a significant community event that supports local charities and scholarships. The race offers distances for everyone from beginners to seasoned athletes: half marathon (21km), ten kilometer run (10km), five-kilometer race (5km), and two kilometers (2km) for kids.
The course venue is the Parramatta River, running adjacent to it between Silverwater Park and Newington Nature Reserve. The 10km route offers a challenging yet manageable distance with minimal elevation changes, while the half marathon stretches across more ground but still remains on flat terrain. Both courses provide runners with scenic views of the river and nature reserve.
Race starts at 7:30 am sharp from Silverwater Park's main entrance near the Newington Armory. Participants can expect a steady pace along the route due to its flat surface, making it suitable for achieving personal bests or introducing running to new participants. Finishers will enjoy post-race snacks and sponsor giveaways before receiving their themed medals.
Registration is open through https://raceroster.com/events/2026/115146/parramatta-race-series-2026-race-3 with fees ranging from $30 to $100. Bib pick-up will be held on Saturday, October 30th at the Silverwater Community Centre from 9 am - 7 pm. Bring a valid ID and any required race-day gear.
On race day, head to Silverwater Park's main entrance near Newington Armory by 6:45 am for pre-race activities. Participants must be over 18 years old with appropriate footwear. The event supports local charities through participant fees, making it not only a fun run but also an opportunity to contribute positively.
