Pastel'Xtrem

Le PASTEL’XTREM is an exhilarating trail race organized by the TRAIL DU PASTEL and CA BALMA associations, set to take place in Pin-Balma on September 26, 2026. The heart of this unique event lies in its challenging yet scenic loop course that spans a total distance of 8 kilometers with an elevation gain of 100 meters.
Participants are invited to tackle the loop up to twelve times, but each lap must be completed within one hour to qualify for subsequent starts. This means runners have to maintain a steady pace and strategic pacing is key as laps not finished under this time limit will not count towards their final tally. The race begins at 9 AM with staggered start waves every hour until all participants are eliminated or the event concludes at 9 PM, marking the end of the twelfth lap.
The terrain of Pin-Balma offers a mix of natural trails and scenic routes that cater to both seasoned trail runners and those looking for an adventurous challenge. As the competition unfolds, athletes will be rewarded not only with breathtaking views but also by the sense of accomplishment from pushing their limits against time and distance constraints.
Winners in both male and female categories are determined based on who completes the most laps within the allotted timeframe. In case of a tie, the final lap completion time serves as the deciding factor for determining the victor. Each participant will receive an award regardless of their position or number of completed laps, ensuring everyone leaves with recognition for their effort.
