PATRIOT 5K RUN

Patriot 5K Run returns to New Albany, Mississippi on June 27th for its 250th birthday celebration. The event benefits American Legion PHL Post 72 and Renasant Bank. It starts at the picturesque Riverfront Park in downtown New Albany.
Race morning finds participants gathering amidst lush greenery and historic charm along the riverbank. Temperatures are expected to hover around a comfortable average of 25.9°C with some sunshine, making for pleasant conditions on footpaths that are hard and dry. The race is known for its strong community support and tradition; since it was founded in 1867, thousands have participated each year.
The Patriot 5K Run offers both the standard 5K run and a sleep-in option to cater to all runners. Distances vary with the full route being exactly 3.1 miles (5 kilometers) for those who wish to push their limits or simply enjoy the scenic path.
Registration is open until June 20th at $28.74 per participant via https://raceroster.com/events/2026/119419/patriot-5k-run. Bibs can be picked up on race day from 5:30 AM onwards at the same Riverfront Park venue.
The start line is located at 100 Riverfront Drive, New Albany. The event welcomes runners of all ages; however, participants must be at least 18 years old to participate in the run and bring identification for verification purposes. First-timers should arrive early with their race bibs, water bottles, and any personal items needed.
