Patriots For Freedom 5k and 1 Mile Walk

Join us on Saturday, November 7, for the annual Patriots For Freedom 5K run and 1 Mile walk at Liberty Park in Liberty Township. This community-driven event honors senior veterans from Central Ohio by supporting Honor Flight Columbus, an organization that funds trips to Washington D.C., where veterans can visit war memorials.
The scenic course winds through Liberty Park's lush trails and culminates with a thrilling start and finish on the baseball diamonds within the park’s vibrant grounds. The route is designed for runners of all abilities and includes walkers who wish to participate in this meaningful event. Families are welcome, as well as dogs and strollers, making it an inclusive experience for everyone.
Awards will be given to the top three male and female finishers in the 5K race. All participants registered for the 5K receive a commemorative t-shirt while supplies last; additional shirts can also be purchased online during registration or at packet pick-up times. Please note that sizes may not be guaranteed if you register after October 21st.
Packet pickup will take place on Wednesday, November 4th from 5:30-7:30pm at the US Home Pro/Cambria Showroom (Suite 136) in Powell Center or race morning between 7:45 and 8:45am directly at Liberty Park.
Honor Flight Columbus is dedicated to recognizing military veterans by funding trips that allow them to visit war memorials. Since its inception in 2010, the organization has flown over 6,000 veterans from Central Ohio with each flight costing approximately $1000 per veteran and totaling around $62,000 for a full flight of 80-90 participants.
