At around mile 29, runners face an exciting decision point at Sellwood Bridge: continue straight ahead for approximately five more miles to complete the ~53-mile "bonus adventure" route or turn back north towards Brooklyn Park and finish with a neat 50K distance. The extended course takes you through Lake Oswego and Oregon City, showcasing diverse scenery including waterfront views and quiet streets.
Participants should be prepared for an unsupported run without aid stations along the way. Be sure to carry cash or cards as there are opportunities to purchase snacks from local markets throughout your journey.
