Push your limits on a self-navigated mountain adventure with the Peak District Challenge on 18-19 September 2026. This unique 24-hour event lets you choose your distance: trek or run the stunning 100-mile Ultra, conquer the 100km Gold route, or take on the 75km Silver, 50km Bronze, or 25km Copper challenges from Hathersage. Each course offers a demanding mix of classic Peak District trails, from river valleys to high edges, with full GPS safety tracking and well-stocked checkpoints. Organised by the experienced team at Wilderness Development, it’s a professional yet friendly event where you’ll enjoy a hot meal, goody bag, and incredible camaraderie. Derbyshire Dales is a local government district in Derbyshire, England. The district was created in 1974 as West Derbyshire; the name was changed to Derbyshire Dales in 1987. The council is based in the town of Matlock, and the district also includes the towns of Ashbourne, Bakewell, Darley Dale and Wirksworth, as well as numerous villages and extensive rural areas.
