PEDALEAMOS POR CASAVIEJA

On October 17, 2026, the community of Casavieja comes together for a day dedicated to resilience and solidarity through cycling. The initiative is brought forward by WattsLab Cycling Studio in collaboration with Club Deportivo Calamochos Casavieja, aiming to support the town's recovery following extensive damage from an earlier wildfire.
The event features a scenic 55-kilometer route that traverses rolling hills and includes significant climbs over Puerto de Mijares. Cyclists will enjoy breathtaking views as they pedal through Gavilanes before tackling the challenging terrain of Puerto de Mijares. This ride is not about competition but rather camaraderie, with participants free to set their own pace.
The day begins at Plaza de los Tejares, in front of Casa de la Madera, where cyclists will gather for a group departure and return. Throughout the route, there are hydration stations to ensure everyone stays refreshed during their ride. Upon completion, all riders can look forward to a substantial post-ride meal back at the starting point.
In addition to the cycling itself, participants have access to showers at Casa de la Madera should they wish to freshen up after completing their journey. The event encourages both cyclists and non-cyclists alike to contribute through various means; for those unable to participate in person, a virtual option is available with all proceeds going directly towards aiding Casavieja's recovery efforts.
Registration costs 15 euros per participant, which will be fully directed toward helping the community rebuild. This event offers an opportunity not only for physical activity but also for meaningful engagement and support of those affected by recent events in their town.
