Set to take place at Pennypack Park on Sunday, September 27th, 2026, this cross-country cycling race is a must-attend event for enthusiasts and seasoned racers alike. Located in Philadelphia, PA (19136), the park offers breathtaking scenery with rolling hills and challenging terrain. The race will kick off at 8:00 AM sharp, with pre-registration closing on Friday, September 25th, by 5 PM. Early registration is encouraged to secure a better starting position. For those who miss out on pre-reg, day-of registration fees are $10 for additional races and $35 for experienced one-day licenses. However, beginners can purchase their one-day license online or at the event for just $15. USAC annual licenses will also be available to renew via USA Cycling’s website. All racers must present a valid USAC license upon registration, with smartphone verification accepted through the USAC app. Minors under 18 need parental consent and signatures on release forms—pre-signed versions are allowed if parents cannot attend. The race venue is Pennypack Park (7801 State Road), where pre-riding is strictly prohibited until after race day. Participants must adhere to specific equipment rules: mountain bikes only, no bar ends or aero bars permitted. Helmets and jerseys with sleeve coverage are mandatory; tank tops and racing radios are not allowed. Race staging begins 15 minutes before each start time. The call-up protocol follows Race Predictor rankings from Crossresults.com, supplemented by the order of pre-registration. Day-of registrations will commence at the back of the field to ensure a fair starting grid for all racers. Lapped riders must yield and avoid obstructing passing cyclists. The first three finishers in every category are encouraged to report immediately to the podium for photos, with protest periods lasting 15 minutes post-race. A special kids’ race is scheduled at 12:30 PM, perfect for young racers and their families. Parents must sign a release form before participating; pedal bikes or strider bikes are welcome.
