Peterhead Athletics Club 3K / Junior Mile Series #6

Peterhead Athletics Club is proud to present the Peterhead 3K & Junior Mile Series for 2026, set against the picturesque backdrop of Lido Beach in Peterhead. This series offers runners of all abilities a chance to compete on six Saturdays throughout spring and summer: April 25th, May 30th, June 20th, July 25th, August 29th, and September 26th.
The day begins with the Junior Mile races at 10am for both Under-16s and Under-12s participants. These shorter distances provide a fun yet challenging experience tailored specifically to young athletes. Following closely behind is the main event—the 3K race starting promptly at 11am, offering adults an opportunity to test their endurance along the scenic coastal route.
Entry fees are minimal: £2 per race for the 3K events plus a one-time administrative fee of 50p, and £1 per race for Junior Mile participants with the same admin charge. Each entrant will receive a unique number that they must keep throughout all six races to track their cumulative performance in the series.
Numbers are distributed exclusively on event day at the small car park along the road leading from Peterhead Marina Bay caravan site office building, ensuring everyone has everything needed for an uninterrupted race experience.
The competition culminates with prizes awarded across various categories based on accumulated times over three of the six races. This format encourages consistent participation and improvement throughout the season while rewarding dedication and effort.
All participants are warmly welcomed regardless of their running level or previous racing experience. The event promises a supportive atmosphere, beautiful views, and an engaging day out for both competitors and spectators alike.
