PETRIBU RUNNING SUNSET ANO VII

On November 28, 2026, the vibrant city of Carpina, located in Pernambuco, Brazil, will host its annual running festival at the Shopping Carpina. The race starts promptly at 4:00 PM, just as the sun sets over the horizon, casting a magical glow across the starting line on PE-041.
Participants can choose between two distances: a scenic 5 km run and an exhilarating 10 km course, both meticulously mapped out using GPS technology under the supervision of the Federação Pernambucana de Atletismo (FEPA). The event welcomes runners aged 16 and older, whether amateur or professional.
The race begins at 4:00 PM sharp but may be adjusted earlier or later based on factors such as traffic conditions and weather. Runners are encouraged to arrive by 3:00 PM for a smooth start to the day's festivities. The event is held regardless of the weather, ensuring that participants can experience Carpina’s unique charm under any sky.
Registration is exclusively online through Ticket Sports, with three pricing tiers available until October 12, 2026, or when capacity is reached. Prizes are up for grabs in four categories: men and women competing separately over both the 5 km and 10 km distances.
The race promises an unforgettable experience along Carpina's scenic routes, offering a blend of urban landscapes and local landmarks. Runners will enjoy a supportive atmosphere with fellow participants as they navigate through the city’s winding streets towards the finish line.
Participants must adhere to event rules and regulations by signing off on them during online registration, acknowledging their responsibility for safety throughout the race. The organizing committee reserves the right to alter or cancel the event due to unforeseen circumstances such as public security issues or force majeure events.
