Organized by the Long Distance Walkers Association (LDWA), this popular event offers four circular route choices: a 35-mile full challenge, a 26-mile route, a 17-mile option, and a 10-mile walk, all starting from the Pewsey Scout Hut. Each route is a celebration of ancient history, passing world-famous sites like the Avebury Stone Circle, Silbury Hill, and the ancient Wansdyke defensive earthwork, with breathtaking views across the Marlborough Downs. As a traditional LDWA challenge, the event is non-competitive but timed, featuring well-stocked checkpoints and electronic timing via a scanned tag to track your progress.
