Immerse yourself in the scenic beauty of central Preston by participating in this running event that winds through Avenham Park, Miller Park, and Upper Farm Nature Reserve & Leisure Park. The course begins at Avenham Park alongside the River Ribble, weaving past picturesque landscapes before crossing over to explore diverse terrains within the nature reserve. The 10K route consists of one loop plus a short out-and-back section, while runners aiming for longer distances will enjoy three loops for the half marathon and six loops for the full marathon. For those looking to push their limits even further, an ultra-distance option is available with as many laps as possible within a strict six-hour timeframe. Upon crossing the finish line back in Avenham Park, participants can look forward to receiving bespoke medals alongside post-race refreshments including sweet and savoury snacks, water, cordial, and coke. The event features fully marked routes for easy navigation, along with comprehensive medical support on site. All races adhere strictly to UKA rules and are permitted by the Trail Running Association. This race is part of a three-day series in Preston; runners have the option to sign up for one day or all three days, offering ample opportunities to explore different courses within this scenic setting.
