Immerse yourself in the stunning beauty of Lancashire with our running event, designed to showcase some of its most picturesque landscapes. The race takes place along a scenic 10K loop that winds through Blackpool's heart, offering runners an enchanting journey past Marton Mere nature reserve and Herons Reach Golf Course. As you navigate this trail, keep your eyes peeled for the majestic views of Stanley Park and Blackpool Tower. The route also ventures into Blackpool Zoo, where participants might catch a glimpse or hear the roar of some of its exotic inhabitants, adding an unexpected thrill to the run. The entire course is primarily on trails within the country park, with just a brief section on pavement for variety. For those looking to extend their adventure, we offer half marathon and full marathon options that build upon this loop system: two loops plus a short out-and-back for the half marathon, four loops plus an additional stretch for the full marathon. Ultra runners can push themselves even further by completing five full 10K loops. All participants will be rewarded with bespoke medals at the finish line, along with post-race refreshments including sweet and savoury snacks, as well as water, cordial, and coke to replenish your energy after a challenging yet rewarding run. The event adheres strictly to UK Athletics rules, ensuring a fair and regulated experience for all competitors. Age restrictions apply: runners must be at least 18 years old, with those aged 18-19 limited to the marathon distance or shorter, while older participants can opt into any race category up to our ultra-distance offering. Join us in celebrating Lancashire's natural beauty through this unique running experience! Enjoy your run and take a moment to appreciate all that Lancashire has to offer along these carefully crafted routes.
