Philadelphia Cycling Classic Amateur Time Trial (NJ TT Cup #10)

About the Event

The Philadelphia Cycling Classic, hosted by the Guy's Racing Club and Independence Youth Cycling, is set to take place on Saturday, August 29, 2026. This inaugural race of the New Jersey Time Trial Cup Series (Race #10) welcomes all USAC licensed racers from across the United States.
The event kicks off at 9:00 AM with a staggered start, releasing one rider every 30 seconds to ensure fair competition and maximum excitement for spectators. The course is an out-and-back route that begins on Martin Luther King Jr. Drive before reaching the historic Falls Bridge turnaround point. After completing the loop, racers will return along the same path.
At just 8 miles long, this time trial offers a flat and fast experience, perfect for both seasoned competitors and emerging talents alike. The race is open to adults at $45 per entry and juniors at $20, with each participant limited to one category entry. Doubling up on entries requires an additional fee.
Pre-registration is mandatory, closing on Thursday, August 27, by midnight. Start times will be announced the following day via email for registered participants only. With a field limit of 200 racers, securing your spot early is advised.
For those looking to enhance their performance, USA Cycling permits can be purchased online, including Beginner 1-Day licenses specifically designed for this event. Aero equipment must comply with USA Cycling rules; non-technical time trial (TT) categories are subject to mass start road event regulations regarding helmet and wheel usage.
Limited public parking is available on Pennsylvania Avenue or at paid local lots in Center City or Fairmount. A warmup tent will be provided near the start/finish line, along with a first-come-first-served basis for use of training equipment.
