Phoenix Running's Elements Series invites runners to experience the essence of nature through four distinct trail running events, each celebrating one of the natural elements: Fire, Water, Air, and Earth. The Earth Entry event is set around Grafham Water, a serene location that offers both scenic beauty and challenging terrain. Runners can choose from various distances on an out-and-back course stretching 5.3 kilometers (or 3.28 miles). This flexible format allows participants to run as little or as much as they desire within the full event window of seven hours. The course is designed with a mix of tarmac cycle paths and short sections of gravel, ensuring minimal elevation changes that make it relatively flat yet engaging. The Earth Entry offers a unique "rock up and run" start times between 07:00am and 10:00am, giving participants the freedom to begin their journey whenever they feel ready. Whether you're aiming for a quick lap or looking to push your limits over multiple loops, this event accommodates all abilities. Participants who complete one loop are celebrated as finishers with a bespoke medal tailored specifically for each element-themed race. The Earth Entry features its own distinctive and collectible medal that commemorates the strength and resilience of nature's grounding force.
