Dive into an enchanting treasure hunt with Tony and Jane's Phoenix Royalty collection, featuring a dazzling array of classic medals from past years. This unique Lucky Dip event invites participants to choose their lucky number for the chance to receive one of these coveted medals at random—no exchanges allowed. In honor of Tony and Jane’s dedication to uncovering hidden gems, all proceeds will benefit T1 Diabetes Research, supporting vital research in diabetes management and treatment. The race takes place along the picturesque River Mersey in Chorlton Water Park. Participants can choose from a variety of distances—from 5km to ultra marathons—by completing laps on an out-and-back course that spans 3.28 miles (5.3 kilometers). The terrain is flat and fast, ideal for runners, joggers, hikers, or those simply looking for a leisurely walk. Registration begins at 7:30 am with the first wave starting promptly at 8 am, allowing participants to rock up and run whenever they're ready throughout the day. With a full 7-hour time limit, you can explore your limits on this scenic trail that hugs the river's edge. The course is well-stocked with aid stations offering vegetarian options, including vegan and gluten-free items like bananas, dates, jelly sweets, crisps, cake, squash, and cola to keep energy levels high. For those with severe allergies, it’s recommended to bring your own food due to potential cross-contamination risks at the aid station. Race HQ provides toilets and changing rooms for added convenience. Parking is available on a first-come-first-served basis at Hardy Farm (M21 8FE) for up to 75 cars or across the river in Sale Water Park, offering additional parking space within a short walking distance from the start line. Join us for an unforgettable day of running and fundraising along one of Manchester’s most scenic trails. Whether you’re aiming for personal bests or simply enjoying the beauty around you, this event promises to be a rewarding experience for all participants. Dive into the adventure and support T1 Diabetes Research while collecting your very own Phoenix Royalty medal from the Lucky Dip draw.

About Manchester
Learn more about the host city, Manchester.
Manchester is a vibrant, post-industrial gem at the heart of North West England. The city that used to be nicknamed 'Cottonopolis' has hung up its clogs and, thanks to successive regeneration projects, is now a major centre for culture and commerce; seen by many as the capital of the north of England, and sometimes regarded as England's second city.
