About the Event

On Saturday, 24th April, the Pingles Centre in Nuneaton transforms into a hub of running activity for the Not The London Marathon Run. This unique event offers runners who missed out on securing spots at next year's London Marathon an opportunity to participate in a full marathon experience right in their backyard.
Registration opens early with doors opening at 7:00am, allowing participants ample time to get ready and settle into pre-race routines before the race kicks off promptly at 8:00am. The course is meticulously designed over 14 loops within Riversley Park, ensuring a scenic run that alternates between grassy trails and concrete pathways for variety.
The marathon route winds through the park's lush greenery and alongside tranquil waterways, providing runners with beautiful vistas to enjoy as they push themselves towards their personal goals. The race culminates in an exhilarating finish line set up inside the Pingles Arena Stadium under a grand arch that celebrates each runner’s achievement upon crossing it.
In addition to the marathon event, participants can choose from shorter distances including half marathons, 10Ks, and 5Ks if they prefer less of a commitment but still want to be part of this vibrant community. Entry fees vary based on affiliation status: £38 for affiliated runners and £40 for unaffiliated individuals in the marathon category; while shorter distances start at £13 for the 5K event, with increasing costs up to £20 for an unattached runner entering the half marathon.
