About the Event

Pikes Peak Ultra invites runners to explore some of Colorado Springs' most captivating trails. This unforgettable ultra, brought to life by Race Director Justin Ricks and Mad Moose Events in 2015, offers an immersive experience that combines challenging terrain with breathtaking views. The race begins at Bear Creek Regional Park before ascending through High Drive into the scenic Cheyenne Canon. Here, runners will encounter the iconic Seven Bridges Trail, a highlight of any visit to this area.
Much of the course is covered on crushed granite paths, which are characteristic of Colorado Springs’ trail system and provide an exhilarating yet technical challenge for participants. As you progress along parts of the Ring the Peak Trail, spectacular vistas of Pikes Peak will keep runners motivated throughout their journey. For those competing in either the 50K or 100 Mile distances, summiting Mt. Rosa is a rewarding goal that offers panoramic views over Colorado Springs.
