Pink Week 5K & 1-Mile

On October 3, 2026, Shawnee Middle School hosts the Pink Week kickoff with a community-focused race aimed at raising funds for breast cancer research and treatment. Participants can register for $40 to take part in either the one-mile or five-kilometer run/walk; those aged 13+ are eligible and receive an event T-shirt when registered by the shirt deadline. Children under 12 years old participate free of charge with a registered adult, though youth T-shirts may be purchased separately.
The race features flexible start times to accommodate various schedules. One-mile participants begin on the hour, followed closely by five-kilometer runners approximately five minutes later. This event is designed for all ages and abilities—whether you're running or walking, it’s about coming together as a community in support of an important cause. There's no pressure from chip timing; instead, enjoy the atmosphere and scenic route around Shawnee Middle School.
Join us to make a difference on October 3rd and be part of a strong, united effort for breast cancer awareness.
One Community, One Goal.
