Embark on an unparalleled adventure with the Pisgah Productions DOUBLE DARE, where your mental and physical fortitude will be pushed to their limits. This unique competition invites teams of two cyclists to tackle up to 10 checkpoints each day over a grueling span of two days. The race kicks off at 10 AM on Saturday, setting a strict deadline for all participants: return by 10 PM that same evening. On Sunday morning, the challenge resumes with an entirely new set of 10 checkpoints. Teams must complete their journey and cross the finish line before 6 PM to claim victory. For those seeking a less daunting yet still thrilling experience, Pisgah Productions also offers the SINGLE-DARE category. This one-day event challenges teams to navigate up to 10 checkpoints in any order, with no suggested route or checkpoint locations revealed until race day. The start time is set for 10 AM on Saturday, and the final cutoff remains at 10 PM. Both categories promise a rigorous test of endurance, as participants can expect between 70 miles and 90 miles of challenging terrain each day, coupled with an impressive elevation gain ranging from 12,000 to 15,000 feet. The race course weaves through diverse landscapes, offering breathtaking views and demanding climbs that will challenge even the most seasoned cyclists. A key aspect of this event is the authenticity of experience; checkpoints are marked only by natural landmarks, requiring each team to carry a reliable digital camera for proof of visitation. This adds an extra layer of adventure and excitement as racers must rely on their navigation skills to find these hidden treasures. Join DOUBLE DARE or SINGLE-DARE, and prepare yourself for two days filled with exhilarating challenges in the heart of nature's most rugged beauty.
