Polar Bear Run - 2027

Embrace the frosty charm of Elora and Fergus on January 30th, 2027, with the Polar Bear Run. This exhilarating race offers runners and walkers an invigorating challenge through snow-dusted trails along the picturesque Grand River.
Competitors can choose from a half marathon that pushes physical limits across rugged terrain, or opt for a more leisurely pace during the 10k or 5k runs. The event is designed to cater to all levels of fitness and endurance, with winding paths offering breathtaking views under a blanket of snow. Whether you're tackling the challenging course or enjoying a scenic stroll, participants will be immersed in an enchanting winter wonderland.
The Polar Bear Run invites families to join together for a festive day out on the trails. Gather your loved ones for this unique adventure and kick off 2027 with a healthy dose of cold-weather fun. Bundle up warmly and experience the serene beauty of nature under crisp, snowy conditions.
Registration opens at 8:30 AM in Elora, Ontario, where participants can pick up their race kits before setting off on one of three distances starting between 9:30 AM to 10:15 AM. The event includes a finisher medal for all runners and walkers, as well as prizes awarded to the fastest male and female competitors.
In addition to athletic challenges, attendees will enjoy fresh snacks and post-race coffee while fundraising efforts support Servant's Heart Ministry’s mission of providing essential food hampers and clothing markets to local families in need. Your participation helps raise $35,000 towards purchasing a dedicated food delivery truck for the organization.
