The Powder Springs Hometown Run 5K is bringing our community together for a morning built around hometown pride, school spirit, family, fitness, local businesses, and the people who make Powder Springs home.

Run it. Walk it. Bring the family. Rally your coworkers. Get your church group together. Rep your school.

Whether you're chasing a personal best or simply want to walk 3.1 miles with your neighbors, you belong at the starting line.

This isn't just another 5K.

Powder Springs will be the birthplace of the Hometown Run — a new race experience designed to celebrate the schools, families, businesses, neighborhoods, and people that give a town its identity.

And you'll be able to say:

I was there for the first one.

We're building the inaugural Powder Springs Hometown Run to feel like something our community can be proud of — a professionally produced race with big-race energy and hometown heart.

Race Day Schedule
7:00-7:55 Registration/Packet Pickup
7:45 Opening Ceremony & Warm up
8:00 Race Start
9:00 Award Ceremony
8:00 -11:00 Race Celebration

Finishers will receive a T-Shirt and Finisher’s medal.  Register by October 10th to select your shirt color and guarantee your size.

Award Categories: Overall Male and Female.  Top 3 Male and Female - 14 & Under, 15-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70+.  

Non-School based awards:
Team Champion (Lowest average time - Minimum Team Size is 4 - form your team).  Yes, you can have your team and still represent the high school in the area.  You'll have a chance to be counted for both. Form Your Team Here
Legacy Award - Best Parent-Child Duo Time

School based awards:
School Spirit Cup - The school with the largest total representation.  Every registration counts.
Fastest School Team - Strongest competitive school performance based on the designated scoring format published before race day

CHOOSE YOUR HOMETOWN COLOR
Participants will have the opportunity to choose from multiple Hometown Run shirt colors while available.  Shirts guaranteed for registrations by October 10th.

Powder Springs is only the beginning.

Hometown Run is being built city by city, celebrating the communities that make Georgia feel like home.

As additional Hometown Runs launch, participants will have opportunities to travel to other hometowns, collect their race medals and shirts, complete multiple events, and earn Hometown Hero recognition.
