Preston Fast 5 Road Race

Preston Harriers presents an uncluttered and straightforward running experience with their Wednesday evening 5K races held during spring and early summer. Located at the University of Lancashire Sports Arena, this race offers runners the chance to clock a fast time on a meticulously measured course.
Competitors will run three laps around a one-mile loop track that is completely free from traffic, ensuring an uninterrupted running experience. The event features two distinct races each evening:
Race 1 begins promptly at 7:00 PM and caters exclusively to those aiming for sub-18 minute finishes, with a limited entry of just 60 participants.
Following closely behind, Race 2 kicks off at 7:30 PM and welcomes runners looking to achieve times over the 18-minute mark. This race allows up to 90 entries per evening.
The minimum age requirement for both races is 16 years old on the day of the event. Participants are advised to collect their race numbers from 5:45 PM onwards at the Sports Arena, which also provides convenient toilet facilities.
Entry must be secured in advance as no walk-up registrations will be accepted. Additionally, entries cannot be deferred or transferred under any circumstances.
