About the Event

This multi-day stage race, in its third edition, runs along the Sanriku coast fifteen years after the Great East Japan Earthquake, with participants staying overnight along the way. It comes in two formats, a 4-day 200 km and a 2-day 100 km, each for solo runners or pairs. The route runs through scenic ria coastline and rebuilt towns in Miyako, Yamada, Otsuchi, Kamaishi, Ofunato, Rikuzentakata and Kesennuma in Miyagi, and food from the sea and mountains is part of the experience. The event blends road racing, trail running and orienteering, and includes transfers by Sanriku Railway.
Until September 30, only entrants from the postponed 2026 edition may use this priority entry; others who sign up will be cancelled and refunded. Entry fees do not include accommodation, which is announced separately.
