Purple Dress Run

About the Event

Step into Jackson's vibrant streets dressed head-to-toe in purple for the 2026 Purple Dress Run, a heartwarming charity event that raises funds and awareness for Catholic Charities Shelter for Battered Families. This annual 5K run/walk takes participants through The District at Eastover, offering runners and walkers an engaging course that showcases Jackson's historic charm and bustling energy.
The race begins promptly on the morning of October 21st, with a festive atmosphere setting the tone from the start line to the finish line. Participants are encouraged to wear their most creative purple attire, transforming the streets into a sea of vibrant hues as runners unite in support of an important cause. The route winds through scenic neighborhoods and lively downtown areas, providing ample opportunities for photos and memorable moments.
Following the race, join fellow participants at the Green for an energetic after-party filled with music, refreshments, and community spirit. It’s a perfect opportunity to celebrate your achievement while connecting with other runners who share a passion for making a difference in their local community.
To ensure you receive all event materials on time, make sure to register by Wednesday, October 14th. Late registrants will have their packets available at the race day registration tent starting an hour before the start of the run/walk.
Participants who sign up early can enjoy a hassle-free experience and hit the ground running with everything they need for this inspiring event.
