About the Event

The Purple Preemie Run 2026, organized by Little Fern Neonatology Services and managed by Abundantia, invites runners from around the globe to join together on November 15, 2026. This year's event features an in-person run in Thane alongside a virtual option for participants worldwide. The color purple symbolizes awareness of premature birth, uniting supporters with families who have experienced the challenges of preterm births and healthcare professionals dedicated to neonatal care.
Participants can choose from various categories including 10K timed runs, 5K fun or timed runs, and a family-friendly 2K walk. On-ground runners will start at different times: 5:30 AM for the 10K race, followed by the 5K run at 6:30 AM, and the 2K walk beginning at 7:30 AM.
In addition to the races, participants can expect official T-shirts, finisher medals for timed categories, post-run refreshments, digital timing certificates, hydration stations along the route, and goodie bags. Virtual runners have access to a digital participation certificate with optional purchase of race merchandise.
Join this meaningful event to raise awareness about premature birth and support those who care for our smallest patients every day.
