The challenge offers three race distances: a Half Marathon, a 10k, and a one-mile Kids Race, each winding through historic trails once bustling with mining activity.
As you embark on these scenic routes, expect to traverse peaceful oak forests and expansive meadows, enjoying panoramic views of the Santa Clara Valley and the majestic Santa Cruz Mountains. The course presents a mix of single-track trails and fire roads, providing both technical challenges and breathtaking vistas that make each mile feel like an adventure.
For those new to trail running, this event serves as an ideal introduction. While the terrain is undeniably challenging, it also offers runners the chance to experience the unique joys of off-road racing in a stunning natural setting. All participants will receive a swag bag upon registration, and finishers can look forward to collecting a commemorative medal.
Top overall male and female competitors, as well as winners in each age group, will be recognized with special prizes. The proceeds from this event benefit local charities, ensuring that your participation makes an impact beyond the race itself.
The Kids Race is designed for young runners aged 7-12 years old to enjoy a one-mile journey through the park's trails and open spaces, free of charge. It’s a fun-filled opportunity for kids to experience trail running in a supportive environment.
