RBG - Rando Brioude Gravel #1

The inaugural edition of the Rando Brioude Gravel will take place on September 6, 2026, offering cyclists an unforgettable day dedicated to gravel biking and exploration. Organized by Vélo Sport Brivadois, this event invites participants to discover the stunning landscapes around Brioude in the Haute-Loire region of France.
The ride routes wind through familiar paths from local cycling hero Romain Bardet’s childhood, encompassing a variety of terrains including smooth trails, agricultural tracks, and winding country roads. Cyclists will experience panoramic views characteristic of this picturesque area while navigating gentle ascents and descents that cater to different skill levels.
Three distinct loops are available:
- Grande Boucle: 90 kilometers with 1400 meters of elevation gain.
- Boucle Moyenne: 68 kilometers featuring 950 meters of climbing.
- Petite Boucle: A more relaxed option at 32 kilometers, including just 200 meters in elevation.
Participants will enjoy well-marked routes complete with GPX files available two to three days prior. The event includes refreshment stations along each course and a café welcome upon arrival for early morning coffee. After the ride, there will be opportunities for on-site dining and socializing at the finish line area.
Registration fees are as follows:
- Grande Boucle: €20
- Boucle Moyenne: €20
- Petite Boucle (15+ years): €10
- Petite Boucle (<15 years): €5
Departure times for each loop vary, with the longer routes starting at 8 AM and the shorter route beginning at 9 AM. Cyclists should bring a helmet as it is mandatory, along with appropriate cycling gear such as gravel bikes or mountain bikes (electric VTTs are permitted).
The event promises an authentic and friendly atmosphere where riders of all ages can connect over their shared love for gravel biking adventures in one of France’s most scenic regions.
