Red Thursday Run

The Kansas City Chiefs and Arrowhead Events are excited to present the seventh annual Red Thursday Run, sponsored by GEHA, turning virtual for the first time on September 10th, 2026. This year's race aligns with the festive "Red Thursday" celebration marking the home opener against the Denver Broncos.
Early bird registration opens on August 6th, offering participants a chance to secure their spot and receive exclusive perks such as this year’s limited-edition Red Thursday flag and an official t-shirt, all while supporting Ronald McDonald House Kansas City. The virtual format allows fans from around the globe to participate by completing a 5K run or walk in any location that suits them best—whether it's through local parks, nature trails, their neighborhood streets, or even indoors on a treadmill.
Upon finishing the race distance, participants are encouraged to capture and share a celebratory moment with their Red Thursday flag along with Kansas City Chiefs gear using #RedThursday. The social media campaign runs from September 10th through September 13th, fostering a sense of community among runners worldwide.
For those who register by August 31st, race packets will be sent in advance to ensure participants have everything they need before the start date. This virtual event offers an inclusive and flexible way for fans across different time zones to join in on the excitement leading up to one of Kansas City’s most anticipated football events.
