Celebrate the 50th Anniversary at the 2026 Reggie Oeltjin Douglas Trail 11 Mile Race. This historic event invites runners to experience the scenic beauty of Rochester’s Douglas Trail, an asphalt rail-trail stretching from Northwest Rochester to Pine Island. As participants set off in Douglas, they are enveloped by a lush canopy of trees that provide much-needed shade throughout most of the race.
The course offers a unique blend of natural scenery and trail running challenges, making it both rewarding and invigorating for seasoned runners and newcomers alike. Post-race refreshments await along with complimentary watermelon, ensuring you stay hydrated and energized after your run.
This event honors Reggie Oeltjin, a dedicated member and volunteer of the Rochester Running Club who passed away peacefully in 2017 while on his dream journey to run border-to-border across Minnesota at age 65. His legacy lives on through this race, which now bears his name.
Packet pickup will be conveniently located near the start area from 6:30-7:45am on Raceday morning. Be prepared for a seasonally cool and beautiful morning, filled with the delightful sounds of chirping birds.
