Reindeer Run 2026

On Saturday, December 12, 2026, the Valley View PTO hosts its Annual Reindeer Run and Reindeer Dash at the VVISD Ag Center. The day promises to be filled with festive cheer as participants of all ages come together for a morning full of running and fun.
The main event is the 5K run through the picturesque landscape around the ag center, offering runners a scenic route that highlights the beauty of Valley View during the holiday season. Participants will enjoy a mix of paved paths and well-maintained trails, with opportunities to spot local wildlife as they navigate the course. The race starts promptly at 9:00 AM, providing an early morning start for those looking to kick off their weekend on a lively note.
For younger runners or families eager to join in the fun without committing to longer distances, there's also the Reindeer Dash, a shorter but equally exciting 0.8K event designed specifically for children and casual runners. This race allows kids aged three to twelve years old to experience the thrill of racing while keeping things manageable.
Both events are family-friendly, with plenty of activities planned at the VVISD Ag Center throughout the day. Spectators can cheer on participants from designated viewing areas along both courses, ensuring that everyone has a chance to be part of this festive celebration without having to run themselves. The event aims to create an atmosphere where community spirit and holiday joy come together in perfect harmony.
Participants are encouraged to wear their most creative winter or reindeer-themed outfits as they take on the challenge of running through Valley View's scenic trails, adding another layer of fun and excitement to this beloved annual tradition.
