About the Event

Confront the most epic alpine terrain in the Catalan Pyrenees at the 16th Rialp Matxicots mountain races. This premier weekend, scheduled for 19-20 September 2026, in the village of Rialp, offers pure mountain challenges in the heart of Aigüestortes National Park. On Saturday, choose your level of adventure: pit yourself against the legendary 60km Trail with a staggering 4,700m of ascent, tackle the technical 30km Mitja+, or enjoy the scenic 15km Popular through the valleys. On Sunday, the spotlight shifts to the next generation with the Rialp Matxixics kids' races. Organized by a passionate team of volunteers, this is more than a race—it's a full immersion into the essence of high-mountain trail running, where every step connects you to the raw beauty and demanding spirit of the Pyrenees.
