Ricky Road Run 2026

The Ricky Road Run 2026 offers runners the chance to explore the picturesque landscapes of Chorleywood, Chalfont, and Rickmansworth on a challenging yet rewarding 10-mile course. Set for Sunday, October 18th, this event is open only to participants aged 17 or older as of race day.
Registration takes place at the Chorleywood Working Men’s Club (Shepherds Ln, Mill End, Rickmansworth WD3 5HA) starting from 8:00 am on the morning of the race. Race numbers are distributed here and must be collected in person; no pre-delivered materials will be sent out beforehand.
The route itself is a scenic journey through historic villages, featuring a large figure-of-eight pattern that begins and ends at Shepherds Lane under the M25 Bridge. The course includes road closures to ensure safety and is clearly marked throughout its entirety. Participants can expect marshalled support along the way as well as water stations positioned strategically every few miles.
Entry fees are £28 for club runners affiliated with UK Athletics, rising slightly to £30 on race day if not registered in advance. Non-affiliated runners pay a flat rate of £30 or £32 at the event site. All participants receive medals and finisher t-shirts upon completion, while top performers will be awarded prizes.
Logistical considerations for race day include limited parking options near the venue; therefore, car sharing, public transport use, and walking are strongly encouraged to ensure a smooth start time of 9:30 am sharp from Race HQ. The nearby Chorleywood train station is conveniently accessible by foot or bike should you choose not to drive.
Additional amenities such as portable toilets, first aid stations, chip-timed results, bag drop facilities, and refreshment options will be available both before and after the race at the club premises. Spectators can enjoy watching runners pass through scenic areas while cheering them on from designated viewing points along the route.
