River City Half Marathon

Race Details

Kick off Fall with Revolution Running at the River City Half Marathon Presented by DexaFit Columbus! We are excited and proud to be able to have this race along the scenic and beautiful Columbus Riverwalk. This race is a point to point race starting at Lake Oliver Marina in Columbus, and ending at Oxbow Meadows, just outside of Ft. Benning. The race is perfect for anyone trying to set a PR or run their first half marathon.

Half Marathon Race Course

The course starts at Lake Oliver Marina and ends at Oxbow Meadows. There is around 350 feet of incline and over 500 feet of decline on the course making it extremely fast. The majority of the course runs along side the scenic Chattahoochee River. You'll pass over the North Highlands Dam, run through historic Downtown Columbus, then traverse through Oxbow Meadows to the finish. Swag & Packet Pickup

Everyone registered will receive the amazing hoodie and all finishers will receive a beautiful finisher's medal. Hoodie deadline is Sunday Sept 21st. Anyone after will receive a Revolution Running shirt. Packet Pickup will be at DexaFit Columbus 6440 W Hamilton Park Rd Suite B1 Columbus GA 31909 on Friday & Saturday from 8am until 4pm. Packet Pickup will also be at the start line (Lake Oliver Marina) starting at 6:45am on race morning.

DexaFit

We are excited to have DexaFit as the title sponsor for this year's event! While at packet pickup get a DexaFit Body Scan or a VO2 Max test at a discounted rate for all race participants.

Buses

This is a point to point race. Everyone who purchases a bus ticket will be shuttled from the race finish (Oxbow Meadows) to the race start (Lake Oliver Marina). If you do not purchase a shuttle ticket then you must find your own ride to the start. On race morning the buses will pickup from the South end of the Hampton Inn parking lot 2870 S Lumpkin Rd, Columbus GA, 31903.

Saturday Evening 5K

We are excited to announce we will have a Saturday evening 5K at 6pm. 100% of this races proceeds will go to benefit Gentian Elementary School in Columbus GA. Everyone who registers will receive a River City t-shirt or you can upgrade it to a hoodie.

Aid Stations

We will have several aid stations along the course at miles 2.5, 6.75, & mile 10. Carrying a bottle, handheld, or a pack is strongly encouraged. We'll have electrolyte drinks, water, gels, and fruit at all aid stations to help every runner accomplish their goal.

Post Race

We'll have food and drinks provided (for free) for all finishers at the finish line festivities.

Aid Station Sponsor

Have your company sponsor an aid station and become a sponsor for the event! You can sponsor by volunteering at the aid station or monetarily. Email us @ revolutionrunning@hotmail.com if you're interested!

There are plenty of hotels to choose from in Columbus. The hotel closest to the finish line (bus pickup) is the Hampton Inn 2870 S Lumpkin Rd Columbus GA 31903. The hotel closest to the start line is The Double Tree by Hilton Hotel 5351 Sydney Simons blvd. Columbus GA 31904.

Cut Off

All participants have 4 hours to complete the half marathon.

Refund Policy

All runners can receive 100% refund until 3 months before the race date. After that there will be no refund.
