About the Event

Immerse yourself in the natural beauty of Bend with the River Falls 10K and 5K, two races that showcase some of Central Oregon's most picturesque landscapes. Starting and finishing at scenic Riverbend Park, runners will embark on a journey along the Deschutes River Trail, known for its wide-open spaces and serene surroundings.
The race begins by winding through lush greenery on the west side of the river before crossing over to the east via an iconic footbridge roughly 1.5 miles into your run. Here, you'll encounter narrower trails with rocky terrain that hug the water's edge, offering stunning views at every turn. The 10K route adds a unique twist by incorporating sections of the Central Oregon Historic Canal Trail, providing fast and runnable stretches before reconnecting back to the river trail.
After crossing the finish line in Riverbend Park, runners can extend their experience with post-race festivities that include cheering for fellow participants and enjoying leisurely floats down the Deschutes River. This event is designed not just as a race but also as an opportunity to connect with nature and celebrate Central Oregon's vibrant community.
For those looking ahead, it’s important to note the refund policy: no transfers are allowed once your registration is confirmed. If you need to cancel more than 30 days before the race date, Alpine Running offers a 50% credit toward next year’s event. Cancellations made within 30 days of the event will not be eligible for any refunds or credits. This policy ensures that all proceeds from your registration go directly towards supporting local beneficiaries.
