Located in the heart of southern Burgundy and northern Rhône-Alpes, the Roc d'Azé has established itself as one of the region's premier cycling events. With an average attendance surpassing 1000 participants each year, this event offers a unique blend of scenic routes and warm camaraderie that cyclists at all levels will appreciate. The event is renowned for its high-quality refreshment stations along every route, ensuring riders stay fueled throughout their journey. Each edition introduces fresh courses designed to cater to both novice and experienced cyclists alike. This year's offerings include traditional mountain bike trails as well as new road routes, providing a diverse selection of terrains and distances. The first 1000 registrants will receive a personalized handlebar plaque, while the initial 100 participants can look forward to receiving a neck buff upon arrival at the finish line. Cyclists are encouraged to follow GPS coordinates provided in GPX format for easier navigation through the unfamiliar yet captivating routes. Electric-assisted bicycles (VAE) are welcome on all courses, making it possible for more cyclists to enjoy this scenic ride. At each finish line, participants can look forward to a complimentary snack as well as the satisfaction of contributing to local charities. For every participant registered, an amount equivalent to €1 is donated towards selected charitable organizations. In past years, funds have supported causes such as "SONIA Réussira," "La voie de Lise et Zïa," and the Pediatric Ward at Mâcon Hospital.
