Rocky Mountain State Games Time Trials 2026

About the Event

The Rocky Mountain State Games Indoor Cycling events are set to take place at the Colorado Springs Velodrome, a venue steeped in Olympic heritage since its construction in 1982. Renowned for hosting top-tier athletes and boasting one of the world's fastest tracks following a pressurized dome installation in 2016, this velodrome promises an unparalleled racing experience.
All events will consist of time trials, offering participants rigorous yet exhilarating challenges across various categories. The competition is scheduled to kick off on Saturday, July 25th, 2025. Early registration opens March 1st and closes at noon on the day before the event—July 24th.
Competitors can expect an array of disciplines designed to test their skills and endurance. For juniors aged 18 and under, there are 1km time trials for men and 500m for women. Senior categories (ages 19-39) will compete in both 1km and 4km pursuit races. Masters athletes over the age of 40 can participate in shorter pursuits: a 500m TT for women, 2km and 3km for men.
The velodrome's layout ensures fair competition through staggered starts at the pursuit lines. Athletes will warm up from 7am to prepare themselves before the national anthem is played at 8am, signaling the start of racing.
