Experience the breathtaking beauty of the Hudson Valley and Taconic foothills during the 14th annual Roe Jan Ramble Bike Tour. This free cycling event, sponsored by Copake, Hillsdale, and Ancram towns in New York, offers six different routes tailored to various skill levels—10 miles, 18 miles, 25 miles, 35 miles, 50 miles, and a challenging 62.5-mile/100km trek. Starting at Copake Memorial Park on September 19, 2026, the event promises a serene journey through quiet country roads that showcase some of the most picturesque landscapes in the region. The ride starts with the longer routes at 8:30 AM and concludes with the shorter 10-mile route at 11:00 AM. Participants are encouraged to support local initiatives by donating to the Harlem Valley Rail Trail, a public trail managed by New York State Parks Department that connects walkers, cyclists, and recreationalists from Wassaic to Hillsdale. Contributions can be made through dedicated fundraising pages or directly via a secure online platform at https://www.pledgereg.com/roejanramble. Safety is paramount; all riders must wear helmets, and pedal-assist e-bikes are welcome while throttle-equipped models are not allowed. Junior participants under 18 years old need to bring a signed registration form from their parents or guardians—copies can be printed here: [link provided]. On-site parking is complimentary, with check-in opening at 7:30 AM. Register now on Bikereg.com and embark on this memorable adventure through nature's embrace.
