While the Roman Rumble 5K is open to everyone, this race will also serve as the 2026 W.2.W. NORTHWEST GEORGIA 5K CHAMPIONSHIP^© 

We have invited the Male and Female winners of various races in NW Georgia to all come together to participate in this year's Roman Rumble 5K on this USATF-certified and lightning-quick 5K course, promising to make it one of the most exciting 5K's of the year!!  

  ₪₪₪ We have moved this Classic race back to it's traditional slot in the FALL, so let's get ready to Roman Rummmmble!!!  ₪₪₪   

EVENT SCHEDULE:

6:30am     Race Day Registration/Packet Pick-up Opens
7:45am     Race Day Registration Closes

8:00am     5K Start
9:00am     1 Mile Start
9:15am     Little Person's Race  (This trot is free for the kiddos.  It's 50 yards to-and-through the FINISH LINE!!  Ages: Adorable & Under)

9:20am     Awards Ceremony  (Overall; Masters; Grandmasters; Age Groups; "Northwest Georgia Championship" awards; & Prize Drawings)

                                              Harbor House’s mission is three-fold:

               ...to provide a safe  and caring place to evaluate the child who may have been abused
                  ...to encourage the collaboration of social and legal agencies for the benefit of the child
                    ...to at all times lessen the trauma suffered by the child

Late Registration begins Monday, Oct. 12th throughout the week of the race.

Day-of-the-Race/In-person registration will be available the morning of the race, Oct. 17th beginning at 6:30AM.

Award recipients will be announced during the awards ceremony adjacent to finish area. Awards must be claimed during the ceremony and will not be mailed to recipients.

• Top 3 Male and Female finishers 
• Top Master Male & Female (40 & Over)
• Top Grandmaster Male & Female (50 & Over)   

NOTE:  The Male & Female Winners will each be crowned as the 2025 Northwest Georgia 5K CHAMPION. 

• Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 Male & Female 5K finishers in the following Age Groups:

[10 & Under, 11-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, and 70 & Over]

→ 1 MILE AWARDS:

• Overall Boy Winner and Overall Girl Winner  (12 & Under)
• Medals will be awarded to the Top 3 Male & Female 5K finishers in the following Age Groups:

→ RACE ROUTES:

5K - This USATF-Certified Course is a qualifying event for the 2026 AJC Peachtree Road Race.  (See Map below) 

It is scenic and very fast and meanders through the beautiful Oostanaula River Trails of Rome.  It is an out-and-back route that takes you from the River Shoals side of Ridge Ferry Park to the end of the E.C.O. Trail just before the Rome Emperors back parking lot and returns to the finish.  This is one of the fastest 5K courses in Rome.

1M - This course is a scenic and runs along the beautiful Oostanaula River Trail of Rome.  It is a ½ mile out and a ½ mile back.

→ 5K START/FINISH AREA  [The same for the 1 Mile]:

The Start Line is the same as the Finish Line for both races...located near the Dog Park side of Ridge Ferry Park, north of RR tracks.

→ PARKING:

There is plenty of parking near the race's start/finish area at Ridge Ferry Park (Dog Park side, north of RR tracks). 

→ RACE SHIRTS:

5K & 1M participants receive a professionally-designed T-Shirt based on size indicated in their online registration.

Your shirt size is guaranteed if you register by midnight on Sunday, Oct. 11th.

• If you register the evening/day of the race, we cannot guarantee your size
• Size exchanges on race day not guaranteed

→ RACE TIMING

Professional timing will be provided by Wire2WireRunning, LLC.  The 5K and 1 Mile will be timed from start to finish via an RFID timing chip on the race bib provided in race packets.
