Romsey 5 Mile

Kick off the New Year with the Romsey 5 Mile running race on Sunday, January 24th, 2027. Nestled within the historic grounds of The Broadlands Estate, once home to Earl Mountbatten of Burma, this scenic course offers a unique blend of history and natural beauty.
The route is meticulously laid out over three laps through the estate's picturesque landscape, primarily on smooth tarmac with some sections of compacted hardcore for variety. This flat terrain makes it an ideal choice for runners aiming to set personal best times or simply looking for a comfortable introduction to competitive running.
Registration opens at 8:30 AM and concludes by 9:45 AM, followed by the mass start at precisely 10:00 AM. Water stations are conveniently placed along the route to keep you hydrated throughout your run.
Upon crossing the finish line, all participants will receive a well-deserved medal as recognition of their achievement. T-shirts can be added during registration but must be ordered four weeks in advance for availability.
Post-race festivities include award presentations where top male and female overall winners, along with age group champions, are celebrated on stage. The event also features chip timing to ensure accurate results and massage services to help runners recover after their efforts.
For younger participants, the Romsey 5 Mile offers a special kids race starting at 11:30 AM. This shorter, family-friendly course spans just two kilometers (one lap of the main route) providing an engaging introduction for young athletes.
Marshalling opportunities are available and come with a thank you gift in the form of a £40 credit voucher to be used towards future events.
