Run Across Georgia 2027 invites adventurers to embark on an epic journey spanning 277.2 miles from Tybee Island to Columbus, Georgia. This challenging yet scenic route winds through the serene plains of middle Georgia, offering a gentle uphill trek along quiet back roads that cater to both runners and cyclists. Participants can choose to take on this incredible challenge individually or join forces with up to twelve teammates for Run Across Georgia, while those opting to ride can form teams of up to four riders. The event not only tests physical endurance but also fosters community spirit as participants raise funds for local causes. The fundraising season kicks off early in November 2027 and continues through June 15th of the same year. Each participant is encouraged to raise at least $500, with all proceeds going directly to MercyMed of Columbus and House of Heroes – National. This initiative has a long history of supporting local charities that provide essential services for those in need. As runners and riders traverse this picturesque route, they will be greeted by the warm hospitality of Georgia's communities along the way. The event culminates with finisher awards for all participants, alongside special recognitions for teams raising the most funds, best-dressed crews at the finish line, and other creative categories to be announced closer to race day.
