Run des Pertuis

Le Run des Pertuis is an exhilarating coastal race that takes place on the stunning shores of L’Houmeau and La Rochelle. Scheduled for Sunday, October 25, 2026, at 9:00 AM, this event offers runners a unique blend of natural beauty and challenging terrain.
The 20-kilometer course winds along picturesque coastal paths that hug the cliffs of L’Houmeau and La Rochelle. Runners will enjoy breathtaking views as they navigate through rugged landscapes before crossing the iconic Pont de l'Île de Ré, an architectural marvel connecting mainland France to Île de Ré.
The race then continues on soft sand at low tide along Rivedoux-plage’s pristine shoreline. This section of the course provides a serene and invigorating experience as runners feel the cool sea breeze and witness the vast expanse of water stretching out before them. The event concludes with participants returning to L’Houmeau, completing their journey through this scenic route.
Organized by six Lions Clubs from La Rochelle, Châtelaillon-plage, Île de Ré, and Aunis, Le Run des Pertuis aims to accommodate up to 850 runners. The event not only celebrates athletic achievement but also supports a meaningful cause: proceeds will be donated in full to the charity Colore mon hôpital, which provides assistance to children treated at La Rochelle’s pediatric department.
