About the Event

Experience the thrill of running at Dorney Lake, the iconic venue that hosted rowing events during the London 2012 Olympics. This picturesque setting offers runners an ideal course for achieving personal bests across three distances: 5k, 10k, and Half Marathon.
Set in the tranquil village of Dorney, Buckinghamshire, the purpose-built lake provides a flat terrain that is perfect for road running. The event takes place on March 13, 2027, with all runners starting at 9:10 am.
For those tackling the half marathon distance, you'll cover a total elevation of just 27 meters over four laps plus U-turns, making it an efficient route for setting new personal records. The terrain is entirely road-based and offers clear views across the lake.
The 10k runners will complete two laps with a modest climb of only 15 meters in elevation. This distance provides ample opportunity to enjoy the scenic surroundings while challenging yourself on this smooth, chip-timed course.
Finally, those choosing the shorter but no less exhilarating 5k route can expect just one lap covering an elevation gain of 8 meters. The flat and fast nature of this race makes it a great option for runners looking to push their limits or participate in a fun run with friends and family.
Whether you're aiming for a personal best, enjoying the scenic landscape, or simply partaking in a community event, Dorney Lake offers an unforgettable running experience on March 13, 2027.
