The race will start and finish at the heart of KCMO's Crossroads District, near The Plaza. Participants can expect a scenic route that weaves through historic neighborhoods like Uptown and downtown areas, offering a mix of paved roads and sidewalks. On race morning, runners will find themselves surrounded by bustling streets filled with local businesses and cafes, setting an inviting atmosphere for the event.
This is the third year Run for Coffee Lovers has brought together coffee enthusiasts and runners in Kansas City. With over 300 participants last year, this community-focused run supports a local charity that provides educational scholarships to underprivileged students. The event not only offers a chance for coffee lovers to enjoy their favorite beverage but also to support the community.
The course venue is a hard and dry surface, ideal for runners of all paces. It starts at 7:30 AM with three waves—Wave A (7:30 AM), Wave B (8:00 AM), and Wave C (8:30 AM). Latecomers can run upon arrival, as coordinators will stay on-site until the end of the first wave's finish. The race stretches from 1 mile to a half-marathon distance with options for both adults and families.
The weather forecast predicts temperatures ranging between 21.5°C to 31.6°C, with an average feel-like temperature of 26.6°C, making it warm but not overly hot on the day of the race. The humidity is at a comfortable level at 70%, while light winds can be expected. With UV index reaching very high levels, runners are advised to wear sunscreen and stay hydrated.

Packet pickup is straightforward—your swag bag will be shipped directly to your address (US only) the week before the race. Race bibs are provided on-site, along with a running t-shirt, finisher's towel or medal, and digital training pack. You can also join local run clubs for ongoing support post-race.
The event closes registration 2 weeks prior; however, late registrations will be accepted if waves are not fully booked. The race is perfect for all ages under 18 with a guardian present—runners of any pace or age are welcome!
