Run For Hope

Run For Hope returns for its 25th year on November 14, 2025, offering runners and walkers of all ages an unforgettable day at Bonita Lakes Park in Meridian, Mississippi. The race series includes a challenging 10K trail run, scenic 5K road course, family-friendly 2-mile walk, and a fun-filled one mile Fun Run for the little ones.
The 10K Trail Run takes participants on a rugged journey around the upper lake of Bonita Lakes Park along the Jeep Trail. This route features shaded woods with glimpses of serene lakeside views, providing both beauty and challenge as runners navigate the terrain. The course is chip-timed by Time 2 Run Race Timing to ensure accurate results.
For those who prefer road racing, the 5K Road Course offers a picturesque tour through Bonita Lakes Park’s lower lake area and walking track before finishing at the boat landing. This flatter route provides an enjoyable experience for runners of all levels while showcasing some of the park's most scenic spots.
The 2-mile Walk is a simple out-and-back trek to the front part of the park, perfect for those who want to enjoy the day without pushing their limits too hard. It’s designed to be accessible and comfortable for everyone from casual strollers to more serious walkers looking for a relaxed pace.
Children can join in on the fun with the one mile Fun Run, which starts and finishes at the boat landing area. This short but sweet course takes runners across the dam and back, offering an easy yet exciting experience for young participants who will all receive special awards upon crossing the finish line.
Race day registration closes sharply at 7:40am, so arriving early is essential to ensure you secure your spot in this popular event. Bibs are distributed on race morning only, with packets available starting from 6:30am until 7:45am for those who haven't pre-registered.
Awards ceremonies will celebrate the achievements of runners and walkers alike across various age categories. The generous award structure includes top male and female finishers in multiple age groups, as well as special recognitions like Masters (ages 40+), Grand Masters (60+) distinctions for both men and women in each race category.
Parking is available at the upper lake area from the bathrooms to the boat landing, with additional spots near the dam. However, access will be restricted starting at 7:30am due to safety reasons, so arriving early ensures you won't miss out on any of the festivities or racing opportunities. Race staff will manage traffic and ensure everyone can leave safely once the event concludes.
