Run for JJ returns to Morell, Prince Edward Island, Canada on July 25th, 2026. This special fundraising marathon is a unique opportunity not just to run but to support Jayden Kamphuis in his journey towards representing PEI at the 2026 World Powerlifting Championships in South Africa. The event will take place along the Confederation Trail, running from Kelly Green / Mieke Trail Park (across from Co-Op) through Morell and St. Peter’s before looping back to its starting point.

Race morning finds runners setting out against a backdrop of rolling landscapes and picturesque trails. Despite early summer, temperatures hover around 21°C with a moderate UV index of 5.6, making for comfortable conditions along the Hard and dry surface trail. The atmosphere is one of community and support as participants run 5 km, 10 km or push themselves in the 21 km half marathon. The race has been running since its inception, raising funds that go directly toward Jayden’s travel and competition expenses. This year marks a milestone with over 300 runners expected to participate, furthering both his cause and the community's commitment to see him succeed on an international stage. Course venue is along the Confederation Trail, which offers varied terrain from park paths to more open sections of trail. Start times are staggered with the 21 km race beginning at 8:30 am followed by the 5 km and 10 km races starting an hour later at 9:00 am. Elevation changes are minimal along the routes, providing a manageable challenge for all levels of runners.
