RUN FOR OUR NATIONAL HEROES 2026

Run For Our National Heroes 2026 is more than just a race; it's an inspiring tribute to those who protect our nation and defend our freedom. Organized by Gagner Sports, this event takes place on December 13th, 2026, at Olcott School in Besant Nagar, Chennai.
The day begins early with runners gathering from 5:30 AM onwards, ready to pay homage through their steps. The race offers four categories tailored for all ages and fitness levels:
- 3K Fun Run: Open to participants of all ages.
- 5K Timed Run: Divided into two age groups (17–49 years and 50+).
- 10K Timed Run: Also split by the same age brackets as the 5K run.
- 16K Timed Run: Features separate categories for runners aged 17 to 49, and those over 50.
Registration fees range from ₹649 to ₹949 depending on the category chosen. The event promises a rewarding experience with finisher medals, e-certificates, refreshments, snacks, and an event t-shirt provided to every participant. Timing chips are included for competitive runners in the 5K, 10K, and 16K categories.
The highlight of the race is undoubtedly the special cash prizes awarded to the top three overall performers in the challenging 16K run. Additionally, trophies and Decathlon gift vouchers will be given to the winners across various age categories for both male and female runners in the competitive runs (5K, 10K, and 16K).
This event is a heartfelt salute to our brave soldiers who stand guard at borders and make countless sacrifices daily so that we may live freely. It's an opportunity for families, friends, and fitness enthusiasts alike to come together in honor of those who protect us.
